Dr. Sherman Lynn Stewart, 69, of Reno, Nevada died suddenly of a heart attack in a Reno hospital on Monday, March 4, 2019. Memorial services in Reno and Fairfield are pending. Sherman was born December 23, 1949 in Jefferson County Hospital to parents Joseph Merlin and Hazel Marie (Dunn) Stewart. In 1968, he graduated from Fairfield High School where he was a member of the FHS choir and Madrigal Singers and was an all-star football player. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business from the University of Northern Iowa and a DC from Palmer College of Chiropractic. He had an active chiropractic practice in Reno. Sherman is survived by siblings Marjorie (George, deceased), Red Lodge MT; John (Karen) Stewart, La Verne, CA; Thomas (Mary) Stewart, Des Plaines, IL; and Sharon Abbey, Huntington Beach, CA. He is also survived by three step children and their mother, Susan, in Reno, NV. His parents preceded him in death. Other surviving family are two nieces and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew.
