BLOOD DRIVES: 4 blood drives in Lockridge, Packwood, Fairfield

LOCKRIDGE --Lockridge Fire and Rescue will host a community blood drive from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Lockridge Senior Center.

Donors who last gave blood on or before April 23 are eligible to give at this drive.

Packwood Lions Club

PACKWOOD -- Packwood Lions Club will host a community blood drive from 3-6 p.m. June 24 in the Community Room at the Packwood Fire Station.

Donors who last gave blood on or before April 29 are eligible to give at this drive.

Jefferson County AM

Jefferson County AM will host a community blood drive from 8 a.m. to noon June 28 at the Jefferson County Health Center conference room; use the McCreery Cancer Center entrance to enter the health center.

Donors who last gave blood on or before May 3 are eligible to give at this drive.

Information

Blood donation is a safe, simple procedure that takes about 45 minutes to one hour.

Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age, although a 16-year-old can donate with parental permission; a form is available through www.bloodcenter.org. Donors must weigh more than 110 pounds. Individuals with diabetes or controlled high blood pressure can be accepted as eligible donors. A photo I.D. is required to donate.
