Booker, Warren to visit Fairfield this weekend

Two Democratic presidential candidates will visit Fairfield this weekend.

U.S. Sen. Cory Booker (New Jersey) will speak in town at 7:30 p.m. Friday, and U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (Massachusetts) will visit at 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Both events are at the home of Stan and Debi Plum.

Before winning his seat in the U.S. Senate, Booker served as the mayor of Newark, New Jersey, from 2006 to 2013. Warren has been a member of the U.S. Senate since 2013. She previously served as chair of the Congressional Oversight Panel of the Trouble Asset Relief Program, and was special advisor to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which she helped create.
