The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:
9:14 a.m. — Jefferson County Law Center received a death notification.
10:02 a.m. — Cedar Avenue was closed in Batavia.
10:22 a.m. — Broadway Avenue was closed between Second and Third streets in Fairfield.
11:48 a.m. — Shoplifting was reported in the 500 block of West Burlington.
12:45 p.m. — A fire call was received from the 200 block of East Madison.
1:07 p.m. — Operating without owner’s consent was reported in the 400 block of South Fourth.
3:21 p.m. — A utilities hazard was reported at Adams and D.
4:09 p.m. — Police investigated theft of motor vehicle parts or accessories in the 1900 block of US 34 Business. A caller reported one of his license plates, DUJ786, was stolen off his Ford Ranger pickup Sunday. A video shows the suspect vehicle is a late 1990s Chevy S-10 extended cab, with a large Chevy “bow tie” sticker across the back window and a large white “8” in the upper driver’s side rear window. It did not have plates.
4:18 p.m. — A parking issue was reported in the 50 block of West Burlington.
6:35 p.m. — A civil dispute was reported in the 500 block of West Adams Avenue.
7:12 p.m. — Police checked on the welfare of a motorist.
7:16 p.m. — An arrest on a warrant was carried out at Jefferson County Law Center.
9:13 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued in the 1900 block of West Burlington.
9:49 p.m. — Police removed an object in the road in the 700 block of East Burlington.
11:33 p.m. — Police assisted the Keokuk County Sheriff’s Office.
