FRIDAY

7:17 a.m. — A utilities hazard was reported in the 700 block of South Maple.

8:15 a.m. — A municipal infractions citation was issued at Main and Southview to Jamie McKim, 31, of Libertyville, for speed.

10 a.m. — Police investigated child abuse.

11:19 a.m. — A citation was issued at Fourth and Fillmore to John Michael Nupp, 30, of Libertyville, for operation without registration.

1:36 p.m. — A municipal infractions citation was issued in the 100 block of West Fillmore.

2:10 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Main and Adams for a traffic violation.

2:20 p.m. — A municipal infractions citation was issued on Main near Buchanan for a traffic violation.

2:22 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued in the 700 block of West Grimes for a traffic violation.

2:49 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued in the 50 block of West Broadway for a traffic violation.

2:54 p.m. — A civil dispute was reported in the 1000 block of South Sixth.

4:24 p.m. — Carrying, possessing weapons was reported in the 1600 block of West Burlington.

4:40 p.m. — A traffic accident was reported in the 1900 block of US 34 Business.

8:48 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Key and Libertyville Road for a traffic violation.

8:56 p.m. — Police investigated narcotic violation and drug equipment violations at Second and Monroe.

11:13 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 100 block of West Broadway.

12:22 a.m. — A verbal warning was issued at E and Kirkwood for expired registration and obstructed plate.

12:56 a.m. — Police assisted the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office.

1:28 a.m. — Police assisted the Department of Correctional Services, 8th Judicial, Keosauqua.

2:21 a.m. — A fire was reported at St. Mary Catholic Church. A motor had overheated and caused smoke.

4:53 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 300 block of West Washington.

6:51 a.m. — A utilities hazard was reported in the 300 block of East Burlington.

8:30 a.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Main and Buchanan for a traffic violation.

9:20 a.m. — Police assisted a motorist at 12th and Burlington.

9:45 a.m. — A municipal infractions citation was issued at Main and Briggs for a traffic violation.

10:04 a.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Briggs and Third for a traffic violation.

10:12 a.m. — A verbal warning was issued at B and Briggs for a traffic violation.

10:32 a.m. — Harassment was reported in the 500 block of North Sixth.

11:55 a.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Pleasant Plain and Walton roads for a traffic violation.

12:05 p.m. — Tyler David Anderson, 29, of Fairfield, was cited at Fourth and Kirkwood for use of electronic device while driving.

12:22 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Fourth and Hempstead for a traffic violation.

1:18 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued in the 300 block of West Kirkwood for a traffic violation.

1:49 p.m. — A utilities hazard was issued in the 50 block of North Main.

2:04 p.m. — A utilities hazard was reported in the 1900 block of Gear.

2:20 p.m. — A citation was issued to Grant Allen Layman, 65, of Fairfield at Pleasant Plain and Salina roads for excessive speed.

4:22 p.m. — Police assisted the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in the 2700 block of Highway 1, south.

4:48 p.m. -- Police assisted the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in the 2200 block of Glasgow Road.

5:20 p.m. -- A utilities hazard was reported in the 1000 block of Oakwood Drive.

7:50 p.m. -- Suspicious activity was reported in the 800 block of South Fourth.

8:31 p.m. -- Police spoke with Ottumwa Police Department about a missing person.

9:01 p.m. -- Overdose/poisoning was reported in the 500 block of West Adams.

9:42 p.m. -- A verbal warning was issued at Fourth and Harrison for operating on the wrong side of the road and failure to obey stop sign.

10:09 p.m. -- Police investigated the theft of a gray Honda Civic Hybrid in the 50 block of North Main.

10:23 p.m. -- A verbal warning was issued at Second at Burlington for no plates, no insurance, no title/bill of sale. Driver was advised these need to be in the vehicle.

10:41 p.m. -- Police spoke with Ottumwa Police Department about a missing person.
