The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:

Wednesday

5:29 a.m. — Police assisted the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in the 300 block of West Hempstead.

7:41 a.m. — Police investigated simple assault in the 100 block of North Fifth. At 7:52 a.m., Tyler E. Walag, 17, of Fairfield, was arrested and charged with simple assault.

8:17 a.m. — Police assisted a motorist at Seventh and Jefferson.

8:47 a.m. — A funeral escort was requested at Fairfield Friends Church.

12:15 p.m. — Fraud was reported in the 500 block of North F.

2:43 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Second and Fillmore for a driver-side brake light outage.

5:35 p.m. — Trespassing was reported in the 1600 block of Southview Circle.

5:48 p.m. — Extra patrol was requested in the 1500 block of Woodside Circle.

8:06 p.m. — Loud music was reported in the 1500 block of Woodside Circle.

7:48 p.m. — A juvenile issue was reported in the 2700 block of West Burlington.

8:45 p.m. — Fairfield and Ottumwa police departments spoke about a missing person.

9:06 p.m. — Police observed suspicious activity at O.B. Nelson Park.

9:19 p.m. — Extra patrol was requested in the 1000 block of North 12th.

10:26 p.m. — Police investigated theft in the 400 block of South 14th.

11:50 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at 12th and Jefferson for a traffic violation.
