POLICE REPORT: Wednesday, May 8, 2019

The Fairfield Police Department reports the following logged at Dispatch:

Monday

3:28 p.m. — Trespassing was reported in the 200 block of West Burlington.

3:46 p.m. — A municipal infractions citation was issued to Jason Ballard, 42, in the 1300 block of South D for expired plates.

4:07 p.m. — A municipal infractions citation was issued at Second and Lowe for a traffic violation.

4:39 p.m. — Suspicion of a controlled substance was reported in the 600 block of West Jackson.

4:59 p.m. — A traffic accident was reported at Highway 1 and 185th.

6:42 p.m. — Theft was reported in the 2700 block of West Burlington.

9:38 p.m. — Fairfield police and Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office spoke about a missing person-runaway.

11:08 p.m. — Suspicious activity — a verbal argument — was reported in the 800 block of West Grimes.

11:22 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Third and Jefferson for a broken headlight.

Tuesday

1:54 a.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Second and Burlington for a headlight outage and a brake light outage.

5:19 a.m. — Burglary was reported in the 800 block of West Burlington.

5:59 a.m. — Police assisted the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.

12:24 p.m. — A vehicle was reported as having been parked for a number of days at the Erma Hartman Trail entrance in the 1100 block of West Jackson. The vehicle has a blue tarp over the driver-side window. The vehicle was marked. If the vehicle still is there Friday, it will be towed.

1:19 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at B and Park.

2 p.m. — A vehicle accident was reported in the 500 block of South Main.

3:14 p.m. — Police investigated burglary at the corner of Eighth and Gear.

3:52 p.m. — An animal concern was reported in the 300 block of Iowa Avenue. A small white dog, with a bloody mouth, was acting aggressively. It was last seen running eastbound. Police were unable to locate the dog.

4:37 p.m. — Larceny theft was reported in the 2000 block of North Court.

5:46 p.m. — Sex offenses were reported in the 100 block of West Adams.

6:19 p.m. — Assault was reported in the 1300 block of West Burlington.

6:45 p.m. — Suspicious activity was reported in the 200 block of West Broadway.

7:48 p.m. — A controlled substance was reported in the 600 block of West Monroe.

11:16 p.m. — A verbal warning was issued at Sixth and Monroe for a traffic violation.
