The FHS boys’ baseball team hosted the Pekin Panthers Monday night in a “situational scrimmage” that allowed both teams to set up various game conditions for the players on each team to play through while still counting outs, but not runs in any sort of official capacity.

“Today was just about getting them into situations and it was good,” said Trojan skipper Josh Allison. “I was pleased with the effort on the first time out.”

“We’re just trying to see some competition and see what we can do against live pitching,” said Co-head coach/head Panther assistant Aaron Deutsch. “Especially with the crazy weather over the last three weeks, we’ve only been outside maybe three times.”
